ITEX Textiles Design Contest

Textiles are essential for many aspects of life, from clothing and furnishings to numerous other uses. Whether they come in their natural form or dyed, printing comes as a primary process for decorating textile fabrics through application of pigments, dyes, or other related materials in the form of patterns which make them appealing for us.

Textile design is an art and an essential aspect of the textile printing process. Design is the heart of printing textiles and the driver for successful products.

As a textile designer, you have the opportunity through textile digital printing which to try new ideas and innovate in designs. Your creative designing and working with a right blend of colors with this technology will allow you to excel in your textile community.

Aim & Vision

To promote innovation in textile digital printing and creativity among junior designers in creating innovative patterns. We invite you to participate in the ITEX Textiles Design contest and present your works.
The aim of the ITEX Design Award is to attract the attention of the industry to the artistic creations of textile designers as well as creating business opportunities for stakeholders in the Egyptian textile industry

How it Works?

• You have to register at the contest through the registration form available at ITEX CAIRO website. Entry to the contest is free
• Fill your registration form on this website and send your design to the following email: designs2021@itexcairo.com ( Please write a description of your artwork with it)
• Deadline for receiving the designs is 24 March, 2021.
• Successful designs will be chosen by a jury of both academic and textile professionals .Jurors decision for best designs will be posted on ITEX Cairo website on 31 March 2021.
• By registering at the contest you allow posting of your design on the website. Your design is your property. You have full intellectual rights to it.

Submission Requirements:

• Your design must be an original one. No copies or alteration of an existing design is accepted. Your image should be of the following specifications:
• Dimensions: 2000x 2000 pixel, JPEG format, Not less than 150 dpi. ( In case your design is bought by the industry, be prepared to provide the filer in a higher resolution of 300 dpi)
• Designs will cover the following areas of applications:
  • Women wear
  • Menswear
  • Home Furnishings
