"Indian fashion retail is estimated to reach $118 billion by 2028."

After the resounding success of the 9th Intex South Asia edition held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, we are pleased to invite leading international textile suppliers to the 10th Intex South Asia in New Delhi, India. To be held from 8-10 December 2022 in New Delhi, the show will enable international and domestic suppliers to explore new business opportunities in India, South Asia and neighbouring markets.

Since its launch in 2015, Intex South Asia has connected 35,000+ Buyers from over 15 countries to 1350+ textile suppliers in the past nine editions. Held across key markets in South Asia, it has empowered industry players to explore new business opportunities, forge worldwide connections and stay up-to-date with contemporary developments making Intex South Asia the annual calendar event for South Asia’s Textile & Apparel industry.

Presently, the Indian apparel and fashion industry is growing in double-digits. The booming $54 billion Indian fashion retail is estimated to reach $118 billion by 2028. Today, India is the 6th-largest fashion marketplace in the world. The domestic market is fuelled by the world’s largest youth population comprising 808 million youth below the age of 35. Domestic apparel brands are increasing production of sports & activewear, athleisure, lingerie and other categories to cater to fashion conscious young millennials. This has created huge demand for importing a wide variety of innovative, smart, sustainable and fashion textiles from major sourcing destinations across the world such as China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand and others. Last year, India’s imports of man-made staple fibres; yarns and fabrics imports grew by 23.5% from $837 million in 2021 to $1.03 billion in 2022 and knitted fabrics imports grew 38.7% from $485 million in 2021 to $673 million in 2022.

The 10th Intex South Asia - the biggest and most successful international textile sourcing show of South Asia - will offer 300+ exhibitors from 10+ countries an opportunity to boost their brand awareness across India and international markets. It  offers an opportunity to reach increased number of buyers across major markets of India, diversify their customer base and connect with leading textile and apparel manufacturers, exporters, brands and fashion labels, apparel retailers & e-tailers, sourcing & buying offices, textile importers, textile wholesalers and retailers, etc. from India, South Asia and other neighbouring countries who would attend the show to fulfil their textile sourcing requirements for exports and domestic markets. In addition, this year, Intex South Asia would be organising the Intex Investment Forum (IIF), a platform to promote inbound & outbound investment opportunities, The Textile Heritage of India (THI) – a showcase of weaves, embroideries, fabrics and designs, Interactive Business Forum (IBF) Seminar Series and the Trends & Innovation Forum alongside Intex South Asia, thus creating a premium B2B international textile trade and investment platform.
